Chiropractic is the practice used to treat musculoskeletal pain and injuries utilizing an adjustment or manipulation of the joints of the body. When a joint is adjusted, it causes a cascade activity in the nerves surrounding the joint including decreasing pain signals back to the brain and improved spatial awareness. When joints in the body do have optimal range of motion it can lead to feelings of stiffness and pain. Muscles and other soft tissue structures connect in and around joints so they too are affected.
